Schoolwork accomplished:

*More on the Romans-what their houses looked like.  Lots of stuff about Pompei, virtual tour.  General stuff about Roman lives.  She took some notes.
*helped Jacob make a "book" (stapled a couple pages together and told him to draw a dinosaur & a butterfly, and labled them.
*I had her draw pictures of what music made her feel.  We listened to some Aaron Copeland.  Hoedown from Rodeo.  Then Beethoven's 9h Symphony.  Then Chopin's Nocturne in NO. 9 in B op 32 no 1.  Then HAPPY JAZZ 85 - PETE FOUNTAIN - SONG #5.mpg.
Then we tried Twisted Sister's we're not gonna take it, as an example of rock and Jonny Cash for country, then Deanna Carter as more modern country since she complained she couldn't do any pictures because she didn't like it.  But none of those pictures compared to the first couple, they were sloppy work.  So we ended it there.
*We read two chapters of Tom Sawyer, which is real work for me.  I have to stop every other sentence to explain something.  But they really seem to enjoy it anyway!  So I figure it's good because not only is it exposure to classic literature, but they're expanding their vocabulary and learning some American history along the way!
I'm forgetting to record something else here, can't remember what!
