*we reviewed the first four chapters of Story of the World
*Boys-Justin 2 1/2 pages of math, Timothy 2 pages with Leanna's help.
*Trip downtown (ride there and walk back) with stops at the notary, insurance papers, and Wawas.
At night a trip to the grocery store as a family-first time in two years!!

Leanna:
*2 worksheets on recognizing verbs and using strong verbs. We went over them together.
*Fractions worksheet-simplifying fractions-took forever.
*Leanna copied some poetry (copywork) that she's memorized or likes.
*Silent Reading: Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Akzaban
*Questionaire on smoking facts (to test what she knows)
*We read Story of the World Chapter 5 together.

Schoolwork Accomplished:
*Leanna:
*American Girls Club-they made Halloween costumes for their dolls. The meeting ran way over and Lisa said they were never so quiet!
*Silent Reading: Johnny Tremain
*English practice-Worksheet on making better sentences and one on using Shakespeare's phrases to make a poem. She also wrote out the steps for washing dishes.
*She worked on a separate journal entry/notebook on lifeskills and making a schedule for chores/events.
*Journal entry on the day's events
*We reviewed the first chapter in The Story of the World
*She read poetry aloud to Lorelei (and I!)
*I read her several poems and a short Indian myth from the book: What Your Fifth Grader Needs to Know.
*I read to all the boys Chapter 5 in Little House in the Big Woods. (The pig story!) We talked about Pa trading furs and Sunday behavior.

Leanna attended Sunday school with Grammy over the weekend. She had a trip out with Grammy, Aunt Laura, and her Mom on Saturday night too.
