Schoolwork Accomplished:

*Interview for 2012(personality interview)
*All About Pollution mini lesson. Read info, answered questions, and did an experiment with a penny and vinegar and salt. 
*Did her own lesson about pollution with Justin.
*Did two journal entries
* practice counting and sorting money.
*We read a chapter in By the Shores of Silver Lake

*Justin-sounded out words and tried to write them down.  This is the first time he's done that on his own.  He was also talking about "if I could write...."  He mentioned if he could write then he'd be able to write in a journal and write down his own memories.  This is so exciting!!!!!!  The desire to read has been sparked!! 
*Justin also played with money a bit. 
*Timothy listened to By the Shores of Silver Lake with us.

Schoolwork Accomplished:

Leanna:
*Geography Lesson  Week 22
*Comprehensive Curriculum-382, 383 We did these almost entirely together, she was having trouble remembering. 
*We read By the Shores of Silver Lake
*She started setting things up to do some science experiments from a kit, but we didn't get it all cleaned up in time.
*She did some computer play and helping with her siblings.  Dishes took up almost all of the evening tonight. 
Silent Reading-Beverly Cleary (several books)

*The boys all did their usual fort building, running around, turning off all the lights, etc.etc. 
 Jacob was having dental pain so I didn't get to do anything with him.

*Vincent Van Gogh pages-she sketched a picture of herself and wrote down words that described her life in swirls around it to mimic the lines in his paintings.
*Comprehensive Curriculum book-pgs 137-152 all different types of reading comprehension.

*We did 3 pages of Brain Quest quizzes
*We read 3 chapters of By the Shores of Silver Lake

Timothy
*also did a picture of himself (but skipped the rest of the Van Gogh lesson)
 *Wrote a one page story with Leanna's help about some kids and a rocket ship
*Math Workbook-4 1/2 pages (with Leanna's help again)
*We read A Great Day for Up together again.
*Outdoor play
*Computer play on Webkinz World and PopTropica
*Made Valentine's Day cards

*Justin-struggled through a single page of his math workbook, and he had help from both me and his grandmother

*He had extra snuggle time with Grammy, much needed I think. 
**Leanna and Timothy returned today from a long weekend with Grammy.  I sent work with them which they mostly completed.

*Pitch in for the planet page on conserving energy in the home.
*Made My Creation minibooklet on the 7 days of creation
*Clous mini study-read on types of clouds, identified them, went to look at some outside and drew a picture of them. 

Timothy:
*2 pages in kindergarten activity book
*Read stories together with grammy (she said he did about a third of it himself)
*Clouds Pages with Leanna (same as above)
*Creation minibooklet (same as above)

Justin:
*Outdoor play-basketball and running around
*Math workbook-2 pages that took about 2 hours to finish (!!)
