Schoolwork Accomplished:
Leanna:
*Several Craft projects from her American Girl Planner book-she worked on a neclace and decorated and made straps for a type of purse re-purposed from a instant coffee box.
*She built two catapults from a kit she got for Christmas with her father's help. The box said 90 minutes, but I think it took over two hours to complete.
*We read By the Shores of Silver Lake
*We read A Pig's Tale by Lewis Carroll and also re-read his Will You Come and Join the Dance?
*Computer play on PopTropica
*Silent Reading-
*She also helped her brothers review some sight words today.
Justin and Timothy built a small table/lapdesk from scrap wood their Dad brought home. Justin also made his tool box, with a lot of help from his father.

Leanna:
*Math workbook
*Scrapbooking
*Ocean book-Oodles of Sea Fun
*Silent reading-Charlotte's Web
*drawings for stationary and regular pictures
*We read on the Shores of Silver Lake
Justin and Timothy: I re-read the portion of Little House in the Big Woods that described Jack Frost's designs on their windows and how the girls would use Ma's thimbles to draw more. Then we used fake snow (discounted after Christmas to 31 cents!!) to make our own snow on the windows and the boys used water bottle caps and their fingers to draw pictures like Laura and Mary! Then I had them draw a picture on paper of what they thought Jack Frost looked like.
Timothy-2 math workbook pages
Justin-11/2 math workbook pages

Schoolwork Accomplished:
Leanna
*Early American Girls Club meeting-they wore pjs (so did the dolls) and brought blankets and pillows and watched the Chrissa movie. We packed a lunch for her to take since this meeting fell over lunchtime. She had fun and Mrs. C. and her daughter brought Leanna home instead, over an hour later. Tom came home right after Leanna did. She was gone from 10:45-about 2:30ish.
*We did the baking soda/vinegar experiment together. The first one didn't work because there was a hole in the sandwich bag. The second one was successful!! Everyone enjoyed it.
*Leanna did a journal entry (they're getting neater Yay!)
*Silent reading-she was re-reading Charlotte's web.
*Leanna opened the new microscope and we started exploring it (some help from Tom when we were having trouble). We used it off and on throughout the night. We looked at the pre-made cells and made a few of our own. Really neat and enjoyable.
*We started doing math together but Leanna was having stomach pain and she was sitting there with a heat wrap around her neck and drinking tea but was still hurting. I think she was just tired, and she fell asleep early on the couch. So we did half of a math page on time, distance, and speed. She seemed to understand but was having trouble concentrating.
*Timothy opened his cars playdoh set and explored it with his brothers. I think Jacob was very jealous and kept stealing the car pieces. Timothy made me a playdoh coaster for my coffee, as a gift. : )
*I sat down with Jacob and we drew together. He wanted to make an "X" his latest obsession, and so I asked if he could draw me a treasure map. He happily made two, rolled them up, and told me I couldn't see them because it was only his treasure! I drew a horse, which really impressed Justin.
