Schoolwork Accomplished:

*We watched the video Great Cities of the Ancient World: Rome & Pompeii.
*Leanna wrote a summary of the video and did a self-videotaped summary as well. 
*We did a lot of work on the Caspian Lapbook also-she put together the page on gems and spent about an hour and a half or more researching some background historical info.  She also did some drawings for it. 
*Leanna did some sketching in her art sketchbook.
*Silent Reading: Black Beauty by Anna Sewell
*Greek Gods and Goddesses coloring book (text by Drew Silver) She looked through it to see if she could identify any by picture alone, and began coloring/reading it.

*lifeskills-made a cake and looked up a recipie for icing/made icing by herself
*Made Easter cards for relatives
*BrainQuest Workbook-pages (fairy tale, friendly letter & haikus)
*Narnia lapbook work/arts &crafts-toilet paper roll Aslan assembled, colored some Narnia paper dolls & wardrobe & lampost, made a map of the Island where the children landed, Bible verse copywork for lapbook. 
*She began some drawing practice using Draw and Write Through History: The Vikings, the Middle Ages, and the Renaissance

*I read to the boys: The Berenstain Bears: The Messy Room by Stan and Jan Berenstain, How Does Your Heart Work by Don L. Curry, What's Inside Me?: My Heart and Blood by Dana Meachen Rau, The Goldfish Yawned by Elizabeth Sayles, Raise The Roof! by Anastasia Suen, King Bidgood's in the Bathtub by Audrey Wood, Snacks for Healthy Teeth by Mari Schuh

*Read & Understand Fiction-3 pages
*Multiplication workbook-6 pages
*Silent Reading: Finished Sadie Rose and the Outlaw Rustelers by Hilda Stahl
*Watched two movies on the human body-the heart and the circulatory system: http://kidshealth.org/kid/closet/movies/how_the_body_works_interim.html

*We read three chapters in Story of the World & discussed Hinduism and Buddism. 
*We read one chapter in Greek Myths.

*Read to Timothy: The Trucker, Step Into Reading: Now You See Me by Tish Rabe, Garbage Trucks by Mary Lindeen, and sort of read Pokemon: Watch Out For Team Galactic by Michael Teitelbaum (I skipped large sections because so much was just a list of character names & extremely boring!).  Brenda & Mark Weatherby.  Jacob listened to the Garbage truck book.
