Schoolwork Accomplished:
Leanna:
*We read three chapters of Eight Cousins by Louisa May Alcott-Leanna read the first half of the last chapter to me (this books has a lot of big and difficult to pronounce words, and there are a fair amount of situations I need to explain a bit to her.  But we're both really enjoying this book.)
*Girl Scout Meeting
*Trip to the bank and dollar Store
*American Girls Club field Trip to the Seigal Museum for a tour related to the periods that the American Girl Dolls are from.
The boys just had all the excersize and socialization while we were out-both on our trip to the bank and later while Leanna was at Girl Scouts (we walked around).  I was trying to get ahold of someone to get Jacob's surgery settled for Monday-and after Leanna came home from her field trip it was non-stop with walking to the bank and back home to eat before going back out to girl scouts, then home and Harry came over......we were all very tired.  It was a very long and tiring day.  Not a lot of "school" got done.  I did spell out words with the scrabble Cheese-Its for Justin to spell-if he figures out the word he can eat the cheese-its.  He loves that game.  We talked about our address again.

Schoolwork Accomplished:

Leanna:
*Worked on China studies/lapbook.  She cut out some of the pieces and wrote numbers one to ten in Chinese, looked up info on China's population, how to use chopsticks, we read info on China and I quizzed her on what she remembered about China.  We looked up the difference between a dialect and an accent.
*Computer play
*2 pages on  synonyms, one page antonyms, one page homophones , and one on similies-all from Comprehensive Curriculum.
*She composed some silly short poems to surprise me.
*She decided to make her own graph,  after being inspired by the graph of China's population.

*Timothy-fact families worksheet, (I think he's getting the concept now! Yay!) he drew a picture of penguins from a thing I printed, he did a worksheet on one more/one less/10 more/10 less, and I read Go Dog Go! to all the boys with Timothy helping me with the words.

*Justin played outside and read with me.  He's starting to come up to me and ask me about words-either to spell them and ask if it's correct or to ask how to spell a word.
