No schoolwork-Nanny J.'s funeral

Up very early and traveled there in 3 cars!  The kids did very well, I was proud of them.  After the ceremony & burial we went to Uncle Bud's and the kids had a blast.  It was like a field trip day.  They ran, they played games, they swung on tire swings.....they had a great time with extended family.  My fears of socialization problems (thanks to a nasty email sent my MIL) were put to rest as I watched my children happily interact with the other kids there, regardless of their ages.
