*Oral quiz on multiplication/division problems
*We read chapter 13 and reviewed chapter 12 in The Story of the World.
*Computer play with webkinz
We read a chapter in Prince Caspian
Aunt Cindy, Grammy, and Aunt Laura visited tonight. Aunt Cindy read some stories to the kids. A short visit since Leanna didn't finish her work and couldn't come over this weekend(Grammy was not happy about this) and Grammy didn't like the show on tv.

Schoolwork Accomplished:
*Painted some pictures with watercolors
*Began composing a story and typing it on the computer.
*Finished the Beginning Multiplication/Division workbook
*Played games/quizzes on Division.com and did the multiplication 4 X tables (for practice) and division tables up to the 6s.
*She read a biography of Beethoven and filled out a "job application" for him with facts about his life. We listened to some of his more famous pieces.
*We also listened to some classical music on tv tonight.
*We read two chapters in Prince Caspian
begin research on famous composers

Schoolwork Accomplished:
*Beginning Multiplication/Division workbook: 7 pages (one more to go!)
*Comprehensive Curriculum: 8 pages: 235, 239, 242, 243, 244, 258 (and two more)
*Wrote multiplication facts from one to four tables
*Two pages in Editing and Writing book
*Art Project: lacing to make braclets, pencil toppers, keychain decorations, etc.
*Silent reading: Black Beauty
*We read and discussed more about Roman life from the book The Way People Live: Life in Ancient Rome by Don Nardo
*Began correcting the mistakes in her spelling review of lessons 6-10
*Lifeskills: baking cupcakes all by herself. This included my giving her some baking tips and a short discussion of fraction related math (how much is two thirds? What does it look like in relation to the whole? And she related it to money)
*Timothy did four more pages in his math book. I read two dinosaur stories to Justin & Timothy. Justin spent a lot of time outside playing in the snow. Inside they played superman and Jacob spent quite a bit of time playing with trains and cars. He built ramps and train tracks and just had a blast all by himself.

Schoolwork Accomplished:
*Outdoor play-snowcastle/igloo building and sledding again!
*Silent reading: Cut From the Same Cloth by Robert D. San Souci & Brian Pinkney
*Looked up whether or not potatoes have antibacterial properties after cutting up potatoes and seeing an infected cut start to dissapear.
*Comprehensive Curriculum: 6 pages on: Sit, Set, Can, May, Its, It's, This, These, and They're, their, there
*Comprehensive Curriculum: Mulitplying two digit by two digit. This took forever and a day and caused much frustration on both our parts!

*Silent reading: Prince Caspian, Bobbsey Twins, and Black Beauty
*Outdoor play in the snow/ice with Justin and Timothy (made part of an igloo/snow castle)
*I read to her from The Way People Live: Life in Ancient Rome by Don Nardo (Actually we read from this during the day, and again at night).
*practice doing sit-ups and push ups (inside)
*Beginning Multiplication/Division workbook-5 pages. We've been working on long division. This took a bit of work, she can do it, she just has to stop freezing up when she gets scared.
*I did 6 pages of math with Timothy, and both boys, but mainly Justin, practiced reading and saying their numbers.
