Leanna played with Kobe and even Sue's friend Danielle some today too.
I'm proud because although we had a bad start to the day, I did two loads of laundry, swept the kitchen floor, vacuumed the back porch room, changed the trash, cleaned the bathroom sink, and swept the bathroom floor.  I put away groceries, plus later things that Sue had left out (Like taking coffee filters out of the box and putting them into the basket she keeps them into, loading the 200 freeze pops into the freezer, emptying 2 boxes of soda into the fridge and ripping up the cardboard.  I cleaned the yard twice.  I remembered to make Leanna an early supper before Brownies and had Tom's steak ready, so he ate it before he took her too!  (Of course they both came home hungry and I had to come back down-with the whole family-to make them food, but that's another story)  Plus normal dish-washing and food, baths, etc. I had everything clean when they came home, not even a stray toy lying about.

*Sue was gone when we came down, she left a note instructing to make dinner for my family, with an outline of how.  It was Chuck's day off though, so we still had to be as quiet as we could.  So after making a few housing related phone calls, we got ready to leave.  We took an afternoon stroll through the neighborhood.  First we tried to go to the bank, but they were closed due to the robbery in the AM (!), so we walked over to CVS, and from there down Northhampton street.  Exciting discoveries included a butterfly and a ladybug.  Leanna brought along Little Women and read the book as she walked.  So in addition to physical excersize in the heat (it was bad today), she almost finished the book-though it's not her first reading of it- and did some bike riding at home in addition to running up and down the block with (& running away from) a water gun.  A neighbor, Tyler, had two large water guns that he let Leanna and Justin use also.  Dasha came by also later on.
At night I read the kids 2 1/2 chapters of Mr. Popper's Penguins.  Leanna was reading more on her own at night after we came upstairs from the baths too.

Outside all day into the evening.  First biking and running.
Then we walked to Home Depot and walked around for hours, talking about what many of the products could be used for, and different ways of using them.  Then over to Giant, ate outside, and finally walked home.  Lots and lots of excersize and practice using creative thinking.

Saturday
*First a family walk to the bank to set up our new account.  The kids behaved beautifully, I was proud.
*Lemonade stand day!  We walked to the dollar store to get cups and our own Kool Aid, and we picked up napkins as well for the cake.
*Leanna made the cake, with my help.  She set up her stand and made the Kool Aid, again with my help. She sold two cups to a neighbor at the end of the block, a cup later to Tammy (two doors down), and some to Carolee, two to her father.  She made five dollars.  But most of it was from Carolee I think.  :  )
I made her sweep up and carry her boxes back and I was about to have her clean the dishes from the cake and lemon aide, but Nanny Sue came home and yelled.
*Biking and running afterward, lots of excersize today!!
