Schoolwork Accomplished:
Leanna:
*Strawberry lapbook work
*We read a chapter in Story of the World
*Silent Reading-Harry Potter and the Klutz Galaxy book
*She also built the telescope and started on the sundial in the Klutz book
*Outdoor play and walking around with Jay tonight while her father and I went to the store (with the baby)  (then late night picnic as Tom cooked on the grill for us all and Jay brought over his scoping telescope and joked around)
*We read 2 1/2 chapters of The Long Winter

Timothy-Brainquest workbook- 1/2 pages and read dessert book, outdoor play in the afternoon and with Jay later on
Justin-Fact Families worksheet-and read dessert book, outdoor play in the afternoon and with Jay later on
Jacob-we watched multiple sesame street counting videos together

Schoolwork Accomplished:
Leanna:
*Strawberries study-read material and answered questions/copied material and started putting together a lapbook.
*Work on The Long Winter Lapbook
*Silent reading-Harry Potter again!!
*Short neighborhood walk, we stopped at a park and she swang while we talked.
*Life skills- straightened the medicine cabinet, cleared pathways, baked cookies, read to her sister. 
*We read a chapter in the Long Winter together.


Timothy-5 pages in his DK math workbook.  A bit of outdoor play, and attempts at making words with scrabble cheese-its.  Played with word and picture magnets.
*Justin-We finally got through fact families. This was a major battle of wills-I am so thrilled to have gotten through it! A bit of outdoor play, and attempts at making words with scrabble cheese-its.

*Timothy-we read A Great Day For Up together (he's getting better at recognizing words)
*Justin was very helpful with chores today
*Jacob went for a walk with me & Lorelei while Leanna was in girl scouts.  We three had a secret!

*More science kit playin, mainly garbled marbles
*Read aloud to her brothers: Patience, Princess Catherine by Carolyn Meyer.
*Silent Reading: rereading Standing in the Light (Dear America series) and finished it.
*Units 15-16 in The Middle Ages & the questions.
*We read The Long Winter



Timothy-Alphabet booklet-practice writing letters.
Justin-
Jacob-ladybug picnic video again (reviewing counting), and we also watched a ladybug hatch eggs on a short video.

*5th Grade testing today!  This meant a 45 min. trip and we went to the thrift shop to look for clothes for her too. 
*began exploring her science kit-garbled marbles and goo.  She made an ocean in a bottle and siphoning goo and garbled marbles. 
*She helped Timothy with his new car book and began reading some of her own new books
*computer play with Webkinz
* We read a chapter in The Long Winter
*Journal entry about the day.

*Silent Reading: Finished City of Orphans by Avi.  Began & finished Spiderwick Chronicles by Holly Black and Tony DiTerlizzi
*Crafting-sewing a little pillow for Loreliei

Justin and Timothy and Jacob were outside again-digging, making tunnels, playing in the tree, riding bikes, and talking to the neighbors. I read to Jacob and we "nuggled" together.
