A strange, rainy day.  Not as productive as I expected.  I only packed in the evening.  My Mom came over and helped out in the boys' room.  Tom went to bed early, he was exhausted.
I'm beginning to worry about Leanna's work ethic.

Schoolwork accomplished:
*Looked up surrealism and examples, talked about how the movement started with literature.  Discussed Alice in wonderland as surrealism.  On our walk Leanna found an example of surrealism (the rain gushing down the street reminded her of the wavy distorted images in some of the pictures we looked at.)
*Spelling List 15 words copied twice each
*2 page Pronoun worksheet, Alice in Wonderland, no less!
*3rd grade reading comprehension-poem called All Things LIve Together by Lill Pluta
*Walked to the dollar store and Aharts in the pouring rain, just me & Leanna.
*General lifeskills with helping to pack up things for moving, and learning how to cook her own hotdogs today too.
*Silent reading-Winnie the Pooh by A.A. Milne (the real book, not one of the disney versions)
*She began & completed the first 3 pages of the loooong Alice in wonderland worksheet I found today.  It covers comprehension, punctuation, capitalization, & spelling, vocabulary, parts of speach, using the table of contents & glossary, books reviews, etc.  Quite a find!!
*She did another Alice in Wonderland worksheet I found today also, this one much shorter, only a page and a half.
*re-read a few more famous poems to Leanna.  (Robert Frost, Emily Dickinson, William Carlos Williams)

My work accomplished: dishes, laundry, sweeping the kitchen & living room floor, clearing the general mess in both the kitchen and living room, getting groceries, cleaning the bathroom, picking up all the coats, hats, mittens, and scarves the boys knocked all over the floor, cleaning kitchen tables and counters, getting the trash and recycling out, packing stuff in Leanna's and the boys' rooms, bringing down a few things from the third floor to be loaded in the van.
