I couldn't get online for three days in a row, so I've neglected updating this blog.  I'm exhausted, so today I'll only add that she did a smidgen of math practice (through that mulitplication website, once we finally got on, so late at night.  I've had her doing an online quiz, and it times and grades her automatically.  She's trying to beat her own scores.)  and a lot of learning how to move.  Hey, that's a lifeskill!   (no note on the door yet, so that's one extra day, so far)  She's been re-reading her Felicity (American Girl) books, a day never goes by that she doesn't do some reading.  And she did some reading aloud when she read a bedtime story to her brothers.
I read her the first three chapters of More Stories From Grandma's Attic by Arleta Richardson.  I found it upstairs while packing up books in my craft room.  I love love love those books!  I remember how much I loved them as a girl, and I did try to read them to Maree' years ago when we were still in Fountain Hill, but she wasn't much interested.  Leanna, however, took to it right away.  And she was enjoying them as much as I was!  I looked the author up online and found other books by her that I haven't read.  I wish I had the money to order the ones I haven't read as well!  They're short stories about the author's grandmother.  They're humorous and teach a lesson without being too preachy, and they have christian values.  I'm so glad I found them!
