Schoolwork Accomplished:
Leanna:
*Geography-Lessons 29 and 30 (products of Nebraska and Boroughs of NY)
*More clay sculptures
*Comprehensive Curriculum pages 559(Writing)349 (editing), 62 (analagies), 60 (Classifying: Regional Forecast), 59 (classifying) 356 (Proofreading), 357 (Proofreading)
*We started reading through the section in What Your Fifth Grader Needs To Know about common phrases and sayings. I was surprised that she didn't know most of them. Good discussion though.
*We also started going over the parts of speech in the literature section-she actually enjoyed doing direct and indirect objects (whose kid is this?).
*In general we discussed how we feel we've been doing with school and the house. She wants to practice mutiplication/division more before she gets tested.
*Justin-he put together his triceratops bones and glued them to a short posterboard. I read to him about dinosaurs. We started fact families in his DK math workbook.
*Timothy-We did 3 pages in his DK math workbook and started reading a Scooby Doo book together.
*Jacob-we did more dentist pages. He drew straight, curved, and slanted lines, did a maze, and chose which picture didn't match. He also glued together a picture by matching the numbers on the pieces with the pieces on the page.
