Field Trip day! Mayfair Discovery Day!
Jay Smar –he history of coal mining in Northeastern PA is taught through getting
kids involved in old-timey music, flat-footing (clog-dancing), and the
use of old-time musical instruments.
Playground & Dance Songs – Dave Fry –Trained in early childhood music, Dave is recognized as a Teaching
Artist in PA. He entertains kids with silly songs, old favorites, rock
n’ roll, and play songs that capture the joy of making music, and shares
instruments with the kids.
Splash, the Water Dude – Ray Owen –
Sail through a world filled with pirates, beaches, submarines, castaways, bathtubs, boats and mythical sea creatures.
Yogi Dance –
A yoga-based exercise program for kids combining yoga and hula
hooping to improve balance, flexibility, strength and stress-coping
capabilities.
Creepy Crawlers in the Garden with Penn State Extension Master Gardeners – Friday 11:00 – 7:00
The Master Gardeners will have fun activities to teach children about
the importance of pollinators and other wild things in the garden.
Scribble Bots and Keva Blocks with Da Vinci Science Center – Friday 10:00-3:00 and Saturday 11:00 – 3:00
Children will learn about homemade robots that color all on their
own, and see why math and geometry are really important…because that
kind of mathematical accuracy makes blocks that stack really, really
tall!
