Schoolwork Acccomplished:
Field Trip day!
We went to the Seigel Museum downtown, and to Antonio's afterward.
We saw a very old firetruck, lots of local memorabilia from the Civil war, WW1, WW2, and the Lennape Indian tribe. We saw musical instruments, children's toys, clothing, and an entire display of women's clothing from the Victorian Era up to the flapper age.
pre-European settlement artifacts, decorative arts and textiles, farming implements and colonial furniture. The rich holdings of NCHGS span centuries: from the stone tools used by
local Native Americans, documents from the Great Treaty of 1758, items
belonging to the earliest European settlers, agricultural tools and home
furnishings used by the Pennsylvania Germans, uniforms, weapons, and
documents from important battles, many works of skilled craftsmen, the
fine arts, costumes, textiles, and photography.
