Summer Wrap-up

Summer Summary:

I meant to add entries this summer, but did not.  So for the record, I continued reading with the boys every night.  We read Ramona and Beezus, Ramona the Pest, Dr. Doolittle, and Johnny Tremain.
We also started going to the local library, and the boys are now reading books at bedtime to help them become sleepy, so more reading practice.  Johnny Tremain and books like Lafayette also allowed us to discuss history.  We used our family pool pass to go to the pool regularly, and almost always to the park afterwards.  The boys played computer games (educational and not), and Leanna as always, reads continuously and writes and edits daily.  She did  more focused school work, keeping track on her own of her school days. She did math and we worked on her schedule and plans for the upcoming school year together.   We attended Wilson's Night Out and an Easton Band Concert.  We went to a carnival to hear Pop-Pop's Band play. They did some biking, and went to the "baby park" to play in the early summer.  Jacob and Lorelei working on the online Reading Eggs program, learning to read.
