Schoolwork accomplished:
Began with a journal entry on which book she liked better and why-Alice & Wonderland or Alice: Through the Looking Glass.
Then a math workbook page, multiplication practice.
Then refining her notes on Rome. Fixing her map of Italy (the boot) which she drew resembling more a Christmas stocking facing the wrong way. I'm trying an experiment and having her tell the legend of how Rome began through pictures, almost like a comic book.
We found a cool website on Rome and were exploring that for a while with me or her reading aloud. Then we found a website, You wouldn't want to be a gladiator! (based on the book) and we read through that.
We walked to Giant (excersize!), plus Leanna played outside again, as usual.
I later had Leanna re-do her journal entry and her math page (she only had one problem right)
We read another two sections on Rome from the What Your 3rd grader Needs to Know book. Justin really enjoyed this and paid more attention than Leanna, even asking questions! I was really impressed with him.
I made Brownies with Timothy and later colored with him and Jacob. At bedtime we came up with good qualities of each of the three older kids.
