As a family, we walked to the closest diner to have a mother's day brunch. We played games like I Spy and try to find words that start with each letter of the alphabet on the advertisement placemats. Afterwards we walked to Giant and picked out a mother's day cake for Sue, and a few groceries. Then back home. Tonight she helped me do some clearing out of the attic rooms (that we now live in) and while I was getting her brothers to sleep she began re-reading Ramona.
So we had physical activity and conversation with adults and reading.
